What were they supposed to do? High school Buses begin around 6:15 in some locations. Do you prefer a light knock at the door? A letter that would arrive Friday?
+1 They were actually late on their own decision. They are supposed to notify by 5:30 a.m. according to their own policies. We were almost out the door to take DC to the bus.
+1 Given that they made the decision pretty late, they probably decided to use every means possible to reach families--they don't usually call for delays/closures. I'd rather get a 5:40 a.m. call than be in PG County, where they made the decision to delay after many kids were already on buses: https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/prince-georges-county/snow-delay-announced-after-some-kids-were-already-on-school-buses-in-prince-georges/3491597/ Also, if an early morning call is your biggest problem today, I'd say you're doing all right.
