I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for about 3 weeks. I’ve stopped late evening/ night eating, and I just feel better overall about my eating habits now. I’ve started walking up stairs for exercise — which is something that I can sustain throughout the winter. I haven’t weighed myself, but I can tell by the way my clothes fit that good things are happening.
Another Intermittent Faster here. I did IF and macro counting in the spring and lost 10 pounds over about 2-3 months. I was really happy that the scale was going down, after creeping up for a few years. I stopped the program I was using to track macros because I thought I could do it on my own and save money (it costs $70 a month). Well, summer happened and I started all my bad habits (not eating enough protein, eating way too many sweets, drinking, eating late at night) and I could see the scale start creeping up again. I signed up for the program again last week and have been pretty good about counting macros for a few days (which means cutting out a lot of junk). Last night I was watching a movie with my kids and someone asked if I wanted popcorn (we always have popcorn when we watch a movie), but I realized I wasn't even hungry and said no thank you. I went to a potluck at school and ate beforehand so I wouldn't be hungry and stuff my face with whatever. I did have one cupcake, but that was it. I didn't have any sweets at all yesterday. I am going to do this program until the new year, and then hope to figure out a way to count macros on my own without paying $70 a month. But right now I need the easiness of it and it's working. Small victories but still victories none the less.
