In fairness, men who are cheaters and who will bang any hole around are very common, and many of them are narcissists (you almost have to be, don’t you, to be a serial cheater?) and narcissists are very good at weaseling in with even very intelligent discerning women - and men, for that matter.

Keep the focus of ire on the narcissists, please. Don’t blame good people who get taken in by complex psychological games. I would wager there isn’t a person on this board who hasn’t at one time in life or another been taken in by a narcissist.[/quote]

I disagree that Maria is innocent here.

She not only stood by him, but she campaigned for him, fighting back over 10 allegations that he had groped women's breasts, put his hand under their skirts to grope their buttocks, tried to undress an unwilling woman in an elevator etc. Some of the allegations were from the 1990s and even 2000s.

I don't buy that she believed that these women were lying. She was standing by her man/ monster until he brought his sickness into their house. She was okay loving him when she knew he was attacking other women[/quote]
