I remember being on a blind date and dinner did not go particularly well (too much wine led to silly arguments over??). He went to the bathroom and I quickly paid the entire tab - I didn't want him to pay b/c I didn't want to feel obligated, but I also didn't want to offer to split, b/c that seemed uncomfortable too. I remember he was kind of annoyed when he got back to the table and discovered I had paid already. We left and I met up with another guy I was dating. Interestingly, I thought I wouldn't bother with another date with guy number one . . . changed my mind (oh what the heck kind of thing) when he called a few days later.
