I am okay with wide leg pants but why cropped?? That looks good on no one.
I’m 5’9” and like everything is cropped these days. I have struggled to find anything not cropped. Everlane is the worst for this.
I’m “only” 5’7” but have the same issue. I often have to buy tall pants and occasionally hem them but usually they’re fine. Totally the opposite of when I was a teen (90s) and had to hem everything, especially jeans.
I’m an inch shorter and even I have to buy pants in Tall lately. Otherwise they are above the ankles and look terrible.
I’m 5’4” and don’t even have long legs and recently bought jeans in Tall for the same reason.
Ha, I'm 5'3" and I love the cropped trend because they fit me like regular length, and I no longer have to get jeans hemmed.
Where are you shopping? I've only had time to try on pants in two stores but nothing was cropped and I couldn't wear any of the wide legs, it was back to the 2000s in a bad way when I couldn't find wide leg or flared jeans I wasn't stepping on. Unfortunately, since I'm not a teenager anymore I can't spend Saturday trying on in every store in the mall.
Since you're an adult, you can just go get those pants hemmed. It's an inexpensive alteration. If the store I'm buying from doesn't offer the service, I use the tailor at my dry cleaner who does a good job and never charged more than $15. Many women have fit issues that are much more difficult to address than just needing things hemmed a bit, so I never understand this complaint. Most pants cannot be let out so tall women don't have this option. Or try having a small chest and very wide hips and shopping for dresses, or simply having a very large chest. Or being extremely long or short waisted.
