I've definitely smelled it from other cars and it's wafted into my car many times. So I open my windows for a few seconds and blast it out, and move on with my life.

I've smelled it all manner of public places and maybe even walked through a cloud or two. It does not stick to your clothes and hair from a momentary, or even several minute encounter. You're exaggerating. You are not going to get a "contact high" or pop a positive on a work drug test, your children are not going to get stoned from intermittent or a passing encounter with outdoor second hand smoke.

That is not the message your party sent when your party legalized pot.

The message people in the DMV received was:  it’s now legal to smoke anywhere and everywhere.  The real people who live here think it’s fine to smoke pot while driving.

I don’t car WHAT you intended by legalizing pot.  What has actually HAPPENED is people smoking it anywhere and everywhere (including the wharf).
