There was an 8 year old on our team who dropped about 25 seconds in breast stroke over just two weeks, earning a first place in divisionals.
Funny because all the 8&u division winners in our league were posting consistently fast times in the weeks leading up to Divisionals.
If you really took the time to look that up then I can only assume you are in a different league. You also don’t have access to B times because they aren’t publicly available. There are also some kids in divisionals with NT for the stroke in question.
Reachforthewall has the seed times for divisional meets across multiple leagues. The events described above are easily verifiable or refuted. If it really happened, it would be so unusual that it would probably make the Washington Post.
You think it's that extraordinary that a kid dropped 6 seconds at Divisionals as an 8U that you can suss out the data? It's not going to have B meet times for the bigger time drop. Some people have way too much time on their hands.
Those bigger time drops don't exist. The data is all there to show the seed times regardless of where they came from.
No it isn’t. I doubt you can look it up anyway, but what’s being talked about here is a six second drop at divisionals, with a bigger drop in two weeks prior to divisionals. I’ve never seen any of my kid’s A meet times listed and available anywhere but the PDF produced and made available by league. To verify this you’d have to look at so many different sources you’d have to be nuts to be that obsessive. It’s also on sketchy ethical grounds to publicly identify a 6 year old kid in form like this.
Nobody's outing a 6 year old so stop with the hysterics, lady! Here's the reality - if your kid is swimming A meets in the DMV, the times are a matter of public record, available on the internet. Just because you don't know how to find them doesn't mean they aren't there. If you don't like this, you should find another activity for your kid. Isn't it interesting that the top 25m freestyle time this summer for a 6yo girl in NVSL, PWSL or MCLS is 21.58 seconds! That's fast! Not to be outdone, for the 6yo boys in these 3 leagues it's 18.95 seconds which to me is just crazy fast for a 6yo! There's a lot of info out there on the internet!
Have you even followed this thread? Yes, some posters with far too much time on their hands are trying to find times for a specific under 8 year old and reference them here. No I do not think that’s appropriate. It’s also not practical. We don’t even know which league or even if it’s in the DMV.
We're all going to find out who this girl is soon enough. She's obviously the next Lilly King.
