Staging can be done in degrees; you don't have to sign up for the $$$ version that looks like the vanilla modern magazine style from so many listings. One of the most impactful things you can do is remove a lot of your stuff---both clutter and extra furniture pieces. Fresh paint and new carpet can also make a big difference. Replacing old decorative pillows or throws with some fresh ones from Target. But you don't have to fill your entire house with ivory colored mid-century modern furniture to sell it. There's an in-between that provides a good bang for the buck. [/quote]
