We switched to a daycare setting after school year ended, and it’s been great. The hours can cover a full work day and they cover all the typical school year breaks.

There will always be debate between preschool daycare and I think it’s very individual and matters a lot on the teacher and how engaged child is with the teacher. The main thing we like about the current daycare is the focus on play/fun rather than getting through a curriculum and circle time lessons.  Our kid learns best through play. Also, our daycare is much better with diaper changes and sending our kid home clean than the preschool was.  It seems in general, just a more relaxed atmosphere than the preschool. [/quote]
