I also have most neighbors filtered for this very reason: I want to maintain the civil acquaintanceships I have with them without knowing more about their opinions than I really need to.

Facebook is a good opportunity to remember that the world does not revolve around you.  People should not be expected to filter what they think or say because of your opinions and choices.  Your right is to not read it, and you should exercise that right whenever you get caught up.[/quote]
