Oh no, what will Florida ever do without ecology and social justice professors!
You understand that having miles of beaches unusable because of ecology issues becomes and economic development and revenue problem, right?
The brain drain from places like Florida and Texas will be slow enough that it won't really be noticed until it's critical - that's my 2 cents anyway. If the GOP continues to dominated in red states I think the quality of life (and cost of living) will improve in blue states and decline in red states but you won't see any real effects for 15-20 years. I think one more electrical grid failure may start to turn the tide in Texas, but I'm not exactly holding my breath. There seems to be a massive amount of ignorance and apathy among the citizenry that governmental actions are carried out through the officials they elect.
So they will sink like Mississippi until they turn themselves around. Oh well.
PP here. That's pretty much my attitude. I am from TX and always thought I would end up back in TX at some point/for retirement. I have no intention of doing that now. The electrical grid, water, the unliveable weather. The politics are the cherry on top.
