I once had strep that progressed to scarlet fever because I didn't know I had the strep infection until the rash appeared. My mom said that when I was little I would test positive for strep without a sore throat. The only reason she would get me tested was because my sibling (to whom I was joined at the hip) would get the typical symptoms and she figured she might as well get me tested too. I can't remember if the scarlet fever rash was itchy, but it was sandpaper-like. It was mainly on my torso. Go to the doctor so you can get a proper diagnosis![/quote]
