I do believe that kids can learn from mistakes and that my telling their parents gives them an opportunity to engage in that learning. It’s not a guarantee but an opportunity for them to learn. I wouldn’t “need” anyone to admit anything. It would be enough to let them know that that I “see” them and what they did. Maybe it would prevent them from doing it again to someone else. I would feel awful if I didn’t say something and they did harm another kid later on. So yeah, there’s a lot to get out of telling the parents what happened. [/quote]
