I hate working. I’m exhausted all the time and I don’t even have time to work out or even cry. This is such a scam!!
On this website, I feel like this is a troll post. Full disclosure— I am a guy and I think that women will have to be extremely adept at setting boundaries to “have it all” with regards to a career, kids, home life, vacations, etc., and I think most professional jobs don’t allow for such boundaries. I also think the not-so-secret assumption of most professional employers (e.g., law firms) is that the employee’s spouse will stay-at-home if there are kids. One spouse working the equivalent of two jobs (e.g., 60-80 hours a week) very much assumes —in a purely practical sense — that such persons spouse stays home, or that there are no kids involved.
This^. In my circle every female physician with kids and household dreams of having a stay at home spouse who can cover home base. About 25% of male and 10% of female physicians do have stay at home spouses, mostly ones in more demanding specialties.
