If you're an adult, you should know by now that if the government tells you it's dangerous, it means it's REALLY dangerous. Smart people find out beforehand and take their own measures if they can. Also, and people have difficulty with this, but there is a difference between short-term risk and long-term risk. No one cares if you're going to die of cancer or COPD in 15 years. But they're going to tell you whether you risk a cough, sore throat, or difficulty breathing today. If you get exposed too many times, you get the long-term risks - but you're on your own for that.
