Why is a 15 yr old who doesn't drive obsessed with drive thrus? She's getting that experience somewhere to keep asking for it. Why would she demand Starbucks for breakfast if there is no history of it? Something is missing here.
She’s 15 - how would she not know about drive-thrus? Do you have kids that are not infants?
No my kids aren't that young, my oldest is a teen. Be we almost never go thru a drive thru so they never ask as we're driving by them. A family with a habit of stopping often would make more sense for the kid begging for it. They don't ask for things they aren't used to in the first place.
You have teens and are asking how/why a teen would be interested in things their family didn't/doesn't do? Something is missing here.
I specifically said drive thrus, how did you get to "interested in things their family doesn't do" That's quite a leap, did you pull a muscle doing that? My kids would know they are barking up the wrong tree asking for take out all day everyday. They aren't obsessed with take out food and acting like a toddler having a tantrum over it. This is not a normal situation, most kids aren't that food obsessed. My teen doesn't even eat breakfast and spends every last possible moment sleeping. He's not whining to go to Starbucks before school when there would never be time and that's something we don't do. Something else is going on with this kid, it's like some kind of compulsion or binge eating disorder.
