I've heard of kids going to Vermont, Cali schools, CU Boulder, Duke, UNC despite being accepted to UMd. Some kids just don't want to go the school that's on the same street as their elementary/middle/high school, even when it's as great and cheap as Maryland. If she's happy with where she's chosen, and you can make it happen without too much financial difficulty - then it's a win. [/quote]
