Shore towns can afford to keep taxes relatively low because the large majority of the houses are seasonal and there are lots of things (public schools, police departments, etc) they don’t need tax dollars to support. [/quote] +1 And shore towns generally have a lot of businesses, plus beach badge revenue, and they generally don’t have the best schools so they don’t need to sock residents with high property taxes. We know that’s the one thing some of you people think you know about New Jersey but it’s incorrect.[/quote]
