Then you are missing out on phenomenal sitters.  I have two boys and used a make babysitter primarily for them.  He was athletic and sksi on the honor roll.  He wasn't primping, mooning over a girlfriend, talking on phone all the time.

He was babysitting and lawn work to buy his first car.

Both my boys tried to model him and so many of his good qualities trickled down to them.  He was in such demand that I paid him well over prevailing wage.

Not hiring teen age boys to babysit is as prejudiced as not hiring an AA or Hispanic teen age girl.

We all have that right to choose the people we  want to care for our children.  And my girls don't pine over any boyfriend or girlfriend or on the phone all the time.  You accuse us of bias against boys but careful your sexism is screaming loud and clear.[/quote]
