It has gotten more competitive. I think the person posting about the b- average is a troll. I can’t even figure out what they are talking about with the waitlist. Which is REALLY a crappy thing to do posters seeking information about the school and trying to find a good fit for their child, especially if they are public school parents without an admissions counselor to help them. My DD attends Madeira. She had an -A average and I think a 91 SSAT? Also an extracurricular. She comes from a feeder school and the girls had B+ or higher gpa. Some of them had some really good extracurriculars. I don’t know about SSATS. The girls from public that got in (that we know) were all As and higher SSATS. That being said, I heard that our feeder school didn’t do as well this year with admissions and some great girls that wanted to go to uMadeira, didn’t get in. I don’t know if they have or will get off the waitlist. I heard this year was a tough year for applicants at all schools. So I have no idea what things will look like moving forward.. [/quote]
