I know someone who had some free time and decided to sub because she really wanted to just help out the schools that are in desperate need of subs.  The kids were really disrespectful and wouldn't listen to her, and she definitely ended up raising her voice and there was some swearing involved.  (My kid told me.)  She's a nice person and was genuinely just doing it to try to help the school.  I really don't think we can expect subs to be super human and not lose their temper a little when confronted with the behavior they have to deal with.  We have a massive sub shortage.  Of course, they shouldn't do stuff like threaten kids or hit them, but flaming someone online for losing their temper and yelling at ill-behaved kids is really counter-productive.  Already this is a job no one wants. If you've never raised your voice to your kids ever in your life, then maybe you should take a leave of absence from your job and go sub, because they need all the saints to do that.[/quote]
