My father is just a few years younger and he also hasn't cooked his entire life outside of the occasional sandwich. Biden was a senator starting in the 70s. He was not cooking. Men of that generation and age just didn't cook, especially successful men with demanding careers. [/quote]

He was already a senator at the time his wife passed. That combined with the times (1970s) make it very likely that as a widower he had a lot of household help. I doubt he was cooking.  [/quote]
