The IB is not incredibly well taught. The consequence is that there are way fewer APs offered at BCC, since they're supposed to be an IB school. Also there is no guaranteed pathway beyond AP Calc BC, unlike at Whitman and WJ, which is definitely going to be a problem for one of my kids - it depends whether they have enough students who want the class, and whether a teacher can be found. It's always given at the other schools. And for WJ, my kid who went there never had a bad teacher. They were either good or went above and beyond. And currently, BCC has way more of a drug problem than the other two - something I hope will be addressed quickly.

Now WJ is overcrowded, and BCC is not. And my kids can walk home from BCC, which they can't do from WJ. Plus, BCC has slightly more socio-economic diversity than the other two. It's not all bad. It's a perfectly decent school in its own right. Just not my favorite.[/quote]
