Did you live in DC in the 90s? No one was talking about or applying to JMU. I mean DC, not the Va suburbs. I knew one person who went there and they were the girlfriend of a friend at UVa. She was from Harrisonburg. [/quote]

No, thank God I did not live in DC.  I grew up just outside of DC, however, in a close-in suburb, and everyone knew JMU and applied there.  [/quote]
