Yeah. All of this handwringing about a guy who has an amazing record. I think he will dispense with Trump with ease. The loud Magas— the people at CPAC— make it seem like republicans want Trump. Most of us don’t. We are excited for DeSantis or Haley. So the real question is whether DeSantis’s record of monitoring urinalysis or working as a JAG will an issue in a competition with Biden. Fully confident that DeSantis will handle Biden in a devastating and yet completely respectful way. He will let Biden make a fool of himself and just remained poised as it happens. Cannot wait.
DeSantis will first have to "handle" Trump before he can "handle" Biden. Don't be so sure that Trump won't prevail.
Yeah thanks. Voted for trump twice. He is done. He is a net negative now. He needs to go away and most of us feel that way.
Since you seem so sure that most Republicans agree with you about Trump, can you explain why the Republican establishment as a whole--not just a handful of people--won't disavow Trump?
It isn’t necessary to have a war with trump. He still motivates a lot of people.
I get that Trump motivates people so they don't want to cut him loose, but Trump also has the ability to inflict serious damage on DeSantis and whomever else he tussles with during the primaries. And if he doesn't prevail in the primaries, he will spend his time attacking the GOP establishment and their anointed candidate. He will keep communicating with and riling up his base (the folks who are in his cult of personality) and will draw votes away from the GOP candidate. He will not fall in line and support the GOP candidate who will go up against Biden. So as much as you'd like to dismiss Trump, he is not going away. He will burn it all down if he has to.
And fox will be forced to cover it all to make the money! ( If they are still in business)
Pro tip. My family is R (Fox) and my husbands is L (msnbc and cnn). MSNBC and CNN feature trump WAY more than Fox. Way way more. Fox has definitely moved on.
Ok. Fox knows how to cash in. If desantis is their golden ticket than I guess that is that. All fox cares about is the $$$$$ obviously. If they trump or desantis or someone else gets them the viewers, that is the way they will go.
I am not sure where you think the media fits into my voting decisions. I consume news from a variety of sources and make my decisions. If Fox or CNN or MSNBC make money with their shows, good for them. Literally has no impact on my vote.
I don't think your particular voting decision process is that relevant to a national election.
Thanks genius. You just keep putting out some vague argument about the media needing to make money off trump or something incoherent. I am saying I don’t care. I am telling you that there will be lots of chaos and trump will be a jerk and create drama but DeSantis will be the candidate.
Well with such a well argued and supported statement as that, I guess that settles it IMO the media influences elections. I do not think Santos would have conned his way into that seat if the media has covered the con.
