The positive message is that most people don't spend like this - which means you don't have to either! Every single time you are thinking about buying something ask yourself if you actually need it. If you buy things online, make yourself wait a day to complete the purchase to see if you actually come back to it. If you do a lot of spending in person, try to go somewhere else instead of the store like a park or a free museum if you're in the DC area. [/quote]
