For those that don’t get in (my younger one was originally waitlisted), I’ve seen first hand, great things from kids that were flat out rejected from these programs.  Most MCPS schools (maybe all) offer BC Cal/ AP Bio etc- so there is a path for your child.  I’m posting this because being put in the WP or flat out rejected is really tough.
