[/quote] Because parents really believe that sports/keeping kids busy is the only way to have healthy in shape kids. They also believe the more activities keeps kids off screens and out of trouble. I don't believe any of this for a second, parents like keeping their kids busy, I also think it's sort of seen as a status symbol for parents. Also college scholarships. [/quote]
