You bring air mattresses, etc.  We've had 8 people in one room when we were visiting for about two hours from friends who had to evacuate.  The hotel said it was fine.  Kids slept on the floor or with their parents.  We made it work.  There were no available rooms anywhere due to the evacuations. Your kids are entitled.  We are used to it though as we have a small house/one bathroom.[/quote]

I’d rather stay home than make it work like that. If that makes me or my my kids entitled, so be it. The thought of sharing one hotel room with 8 people, half of whom aren’t even my family, makes me feel physically ill. Airbnbs allow us separate spaces for people to retreat to when they need downtime. They’ve also provided some beautiful outdoor spaces that a hotel could never. I spend tons of time searching for the right ones far in advance of a trip, and I’ve never been disappointed.[/quote]
