I agree there is nothing that the boy will hear that won’t benefit him. But I think having the boys present will harm the girls. In 4-5th grade it is the girls who are actively going through puberty. They’re the ones with immediate questions and concerns. Having boys present in that room will impede that conversation. I’ll go further and add I think the effect of gender combined classes is anti-girl even if that wasn’t the intent.[/quote]
