You don’t get it.  I am a republican and was mortified by Jan 6.  I knew it would do lasting damage to Trump and others.  But I still agree with the Republicans party on most issues and do so even more today than 2 years ago after the ridiculousness that is this administration.  There is no cognitive dissonance here.  Those Jan 6 people were bad but the are not the entire party and don’t speak for most of us.  And yeah, sorry, you don’t get to just be super sore losers and put on your hats and scream at the sky and wring your hands for 4 years when you Lose because you have a crappy platform.  Your platform and recent actions show a party that is not in alignment with moderates or traditional  democrats.  So buh by.[/quote]

Sorry but they do speak for the party.  Election deniers are candidates all over like a swarm of roaches.  What are they doing as your candidates?  They say nothing about holding the big wigs of Jan 6 responsible.  Republicans that tried are out of the party.[/quote]

No one is saying to throw rebublican votes in the garbage or suppress republican votes.  Make your case and try to get enough to votes to win.   And accept a loss without plotting a coup and assembling a violent mob to storm the capital.   I really hope when I am trying to explain to DCs how far far out of the norm that was that I am right.
