Not aware of anyone moving to M&D from the DMV at 2027. Which team did the girl move from?
Moved from MC elite 2 or 3 years ago
MD parent here. MC Elite picked up a very strong player that was a standout on Pride 27.
Talented player, yes. But she was cut from Pride because the coach was sick of her attitude. Good luck to anyone who tries to give her any negative feedback or actual coaching
SERIOUSLY ARE YOU REALLY CALLING OUT A SPECIFIC KID LIKE THIS??? This is what is wrong with parenting today.
I am not a 2027 parent but agree a players specific situation doesn’t need to be called out in a public forum. What is equally concerning, IF this situation is true, is parents letting their DD behave this way. If the second is taken care of we aren’t even talking about the first situation.
While I am glad no names or identifiable information was shared, in my mind, this situation was a bit different since much of the disrespect and discipline happened in a very public way (from both sides). If you watched Pride's sidelines during many games in the summer, these grievances were aired very loudly and publicly. Furthermore, coaching staff has used this girl has a public example to the team. Ultimately I blame Pride leadership for allowing this to go on as long as it has. The cynic is me thinks this is a rare occasion a DMV club is acting like a top Maryland team. Reality is that this situation went on too long and it is best for all involved that it has finally been resolved. Good luck to this girl at her new club.
Where and what were this player’s parents doing during this to help resolve the issue. Doesn’t sound like much.
