I thought Pence wouldn’t get in the car because he assumed the SS would take him far away from the Capitol building for his own protection—but he needed to stay there to complete his constitutional duties.  But maybe I have misunderstood this.  Anyone know?[/quote]

Just saying that I don’t think there was necessarily a lack of trust on Pence’s part.  Just an awareness that their duties conflicted with his duties at that particular moment.  But again, maybe I have misunderstood this.[/quote]
