Did they take off for any Christian holidays? I know Christmas falls during the winter break, but they don’t take a day off specifically for that reason. I can’t think of any others.[/quote]
The fact that Christmas falls during winter break is a function of the fact that our entire society revolves around the Christian calendar. Just because schools call it "winter break" instead of "Christmas break" doesn't negate the fact that Christmas is a day off for everyone. And I'm not saying that it shouldn't be. Easter, obviously, is a Sunday, so we get it off every year.[/quote]
