Op here. I did c section, so I did not have vaginal birth. I have never used a tampon. I tried one time, and it was unsuccessful and hurt. It was so tight and dry down there that I can't figure out how to insert it. I am petite and small, can someone recommend me a tampon brand that is easy to use. I will try it again.
OP, I’m sorry no one helped you with this earlier in life, but you do have to try more than ONE TIME. Yes, try different brands, etc. It may take some work, but my goodness. You need to get over this.
Did you have your period when you tried? If it was a long time ago you probably used the wrong size and it had a cardboard applicator. If my 14 year old swimmer can use tampons, you can. Get the plastic applicators, slim/small tampon, and KY jelly in case. The angle is probably different than you expect--when you put it in, aim towards your backside. It may take some adjustment. There are YouTube videos that can help you. You can do this!!! I believe in you.
Yeah I remember having trouble with tampons the first few times as a teen. My mom used OB and I had trouble with the cardboard applicators too. Plastic, while bad for the environment, is so much easier.
