Why DC attracts so many homeless, mentally ill, addicts and criminals?
Mental healthcare person here. I asked this when I started working in the field. It is a combination of huge income disparity in DC plus being the national capital makes the city a focus of a lot of people's mental illness. That said, I think the real criminals are the ones who sit on the Hill and do nothing about widespread public health problems (gun violence). But sure, let's get upset about the vulnerable disenfranchised!
Stop trying to confuse the issue. Believe me, I am with you, Donald Trump is the biggest criminal in this country. That said - the crazy homeless woman who just verbally assaulted me on the street as I walked to get lunch from my office - treating to “fu*k**g beat the sh!t out of me” is also not allowed to just do that. These homeless encampments need to be removed. I am a productive member of the DC population. I earn money, pay taxes and care for the home I own. I shouldn’t be assaulted for merely existing where I work and live. So enough w/ the f**king distractions and lies about mental health. This is an emergency and these encampments and the residents need to GO.
