While the cops here clearly lacked the required intelligence and bravery for the job, let’s agree that the job is made exponentially more difficult when these kinds of weapons are flooding the country. The story is guns. Not the police.
True. But many LEOs vote for the representation that allows these weapons to be legal. If you vote for that, then get in there and take them on. If you don't want to go up against this weponry than don't vote to allow it and don't be a LEO.
Texas is the Wild West, every man woman and child for themselves. That is the sad truth and it’s an ethos promoted by elected officials all over the state. No wonder this is the kind of response you get from law enforcement.
It’s the Wild West and all about personal freedom until they hold back parents from going in to the school to save their kids. That is how they serve and protect down in Texas. They won’t do their damn jobs to save children but they sure as hell will use excessive force to hold back parents from saving them. Oh and I almost forgot the kicker- some cops went in against orders to save their own children. They are all disgusting, disgusting people. There is no punishment that is too harsh for these militarized sociopaths.
These cops in Texas, or cop-outs may be a better term, were pathetic, but the underlying issue, the root cause, is Republican-support for the firearms industry and the easy access to assault weapons. The 18-year-old shooter bought two AR-15s in a gun store the week before. Same thing with the Buffalo shooter. Bought his AR-15 in the gun store a month or two ago. That's America for you. .
