If that 1.5% of students has at least a 3.5 GPA and is taking Algebra by 8th, then they're eligible for those slots.[/quote] It is more then that. 1) Honors math and science in 7th and 8th grade. this includes Algebra Honors (not just Algebra) 2) At least 1 one other Honors class each year 3) A 3.5 GPA 4) Successful completion of the math problem/essays I would guess that there is a smaller percentage of kids who are eligible then the people who want the test back think there are.[/quote]
