For me, it's Timothy Omundson. For those who don't know the name, he was irritable Detective Lassiter in "Psych" and, about as far from that role as possible, sexily murderous Cain in "Supernatural" among dozens of other roles over decades. Loved his comic acting and singing in the obscure musical comedy "Galavant." Just incredibly versatile and clearly always relishing the work.

I already loved his work as an actor when I found out that as a person, he's phenomenally positive in the face of life-altering adversity. Omundson had a massive, nearly fatal stroke five years ago that partially paralyzed him -- just after he had shot a pilot for a new series, and weeks before he was supposed to shoot the first "Psych" movie. It truly looked like, if he lived, he wouldn't walk again and certainly wouldn't work again, and he was only 47. But amazingly, he's acting again, in roles incorporating his disabilities, and is always astoundingly frank about his body and the challenges of acting now. Seeing interviews with him since his stroke has made me admire his attitude. (BTW, if you watch "This Is Us," he played Gregory, Kate's neighbor who was a stroke survivor.)[/quote]
