This year I taught him how to file taxes. He’s staying at college to research and looking for housing. I’m a lawyer and he’s asking me to review leases before he signs. He’s also having us look at his draft budget. Because no, he d didn’t magically get the competence or skills to deal with taxes or leases when he turned 18.
