Nah.  It's not.  If Russia nukes then they get nuked.  Mutually assured destruction.

Russia invaded Ukraine in a war of territorial expansion (and is doing horribly).  Russia has committed mass crimes and atrocities on a level comparable to Milosevic and Taylor.  Their goal is the complete destuction of the concept of Ukraine.  If they want it to stop they can stop it.

But, why in the hell is this administration revealing publicly the help they are providing Ukraine?  There is no earthly reason to disclose this information.

It confirms speculation that we are indeed in a proxy war.  And, it serves no purpose in working to end this conflict.

Some of it is signalling to the rest of NATO and the world
Some of it is signaling to Putin (his main thesis was that the West wouldn't do anything)
Some of it is signalling to the Russian troops that don't want to be there
Some of it is dumbass House and Senate members leaking crap (remember the live streaming of the Zelensky briefing by Rubio (and someone else)).

On the whole Biden, Blinken, Austin, and LTG have done an amazing job.  It's not been perfect but it's been pretty darn good.

We are not in a proxy war.  Ukraine was invaded and is fighting for its own survival.  It's not about us and we do a disservice to Ukraine when we forget that.[/quote]
