I think in a nutshell, she A) has a strange worldview where she wants to believe that everyone's experiences are like hers, B) was truly just trying to compliment their eyes and didn't realize that's an offensive term, and C) HATES being corrected by her children :)

But, I love her, and I would bet anyone they're not going to use that phrase again without thinking about our conversations... So honestly I see this as a very positive end to this issue :)[/quote]
