You are missing the point.  I am not denying that they are denying people passage at refugee processing areas.  What we don’t know is whether they are doing the same to white non-Ukrainian people, or if only non-white non-Ukrainian people are being denied passage.

An awful lot of Republican/right-wing Americans are already on Putin’s side in this.  If Russia wants to really turn US public sentiment, they have to target the American left.  One really effective way to turn the American left against someone is to accuse them of racism.  It would make perfect sense as a social media strategy for Russia here.

The US refused its own citizens who misplaced their passports during the Wuhan evacuation. They were left behind. So did the UK.
