They will accept some B average kids, some artsy kids, some average HSPT but high GPA etc...grades are important but not the only thing that is considered.[/quote] But if your a parent with good grades and high test scores, you are hoping that these are the only attributes the schools look at in making decisions. These people are unable (or unwilling) to put themselves in the shoes of the Admissions people at the school who have a wide range of requirements from the various groups and interests on campus. The Admissions people look at a range of things including legacy connections, sex (to achieve balance), K8 schools, especially Catholic ones, URM, athletic ability, special talents, etc, etc.[/quote]
