I also think a lot of students will feel rude unmasking if their teacher is still wearing one (my kids are in this category). I think it is going to take a long time for more than a small percentage to stop masking because of social pressure/not wanting to stand out. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. At my nephew's ES in AACPS (MD), the vast majority of teachers and students unmasked the first day it was allowed. I think park of the difference is that their BOE voted unanimously in favor of masks optional and the policy applied to students and teachers so nobody felt like they were going against their school district.[/quote]
