Since kids end up moving around for their COOPs anyway, I don't think it is a bad option if a kid is really excited about the school. My kid loved the school (I am still on the fence about the COOP program), and the students we spoke to on her tour both had a strong group of friends and loved their COOPs (which were on zoom of course for that group).
