Huh.  I wonder why all three of my elementary kids have tested negative on their weekly PCRs at school, every week since October (minus Winter Break).  Funny.  Could it be their vaccines working?  That schools aren’t the COVID death traps you were hoping they would be?

Truly, anyone who pushed last year for prolonged closures: staying open now is on you.  You refused to yield when you should have, and now even the most reasonable of us know better than to give you an inch.  Oh well.  The good news is that Omicron is typically very mild in vaccinated children and boosted adults.  Since those are options for everyone in the MCPS system, we’re good, right?  Right.[/quote]
