How did Rhodes end up at Yale? Conservative diversity applicant?
Good article on Rhodes' background https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/founder-far-right-militia-once-warned-federal-tyranny-then-came-n1256546
How did he lose his eye? Earlier photos don't show the eye patch. Was there a suicide attempt? They better watch him.
He lost it with a misfire with his own gun.
I'd say hitting the eye was a miss.
It just seems awfully focused for a misfire. I have seen suicides go in through the eye when using a rifle. Think about it, odds are he would have been grazed or injured on the side of the head, less of a symmetrical injury. If it happened when he was 28 he was wearing a prosthetic before he decided the eye patch looked cool. Reading the indictment he spent about $10k on guns and ammo within days of January 6. His license to practice law was revoked in 2015 so how was he earning money? Who was financing his gun fetish?
If you dig into Rhodes background you'll see he is a failure at everything. He was a paratrooper and injured himself almost immediately and was discharged. He spins a story as if he was a superwarrior when in reality he did nothing but hurt himself. He failed in marriage and was abusive. According to his ex wife he would wave guns around when they argued and when she wanted to leave he held a gun to his head and threatened suicide. https://www.splcenter.org/sites/default/files/redacted-swornpetitionfortemporaryorderofprotection.pdf He was a weapons instructor and dropped his loaded weapon and shot himself. He's a failure as a lawyer - you gotta read this https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2015/11/04/montana-moves-strip-oath-keepers%E2%80%99-founder-license-practice-law. He's a complete loser and an f up but has puts in enough effort in presenting a fake front, just like the Not-so-proud-anymore boys, that he's able to fool some of the uneducated who lean in the same direction politically.
