Questions for the APs that communicate via erasing message app, Words with Friends, burner phone and the like. Why do you live your life this way? Why not have a normal life with normal communication with normal people? Is it that you’re just so into this person that you’ll do whatever nonsensical thing it takes so that you can be with them? Judging by how little the guys seem to think of their APs, the answer apparently would be No. Then why do this? If this is in fact a form of slumming, then what exactly do you get out of the slumming? To me it seems like a shameful addiction. Am I missing something?
I’m not sure why this is hard to figure out. Some people actually don’t want relationships. If someone is engaged in affair is because they know that person is not leaving their spouse and they have somebody reliable and they don’t have to worry about finding a boyfriend or girlfriend and being an actual real relationship that requires a commitment. This is not hard to understand. It is all you romantic people who think marriage is the end all be all that I don’t understand (not a cheater and single but I completely understand why someone would do this if the chemistry was good and they did not want a full-blown relationship and only wanted a reliable sex partner). Relationships are exhausting and some people simply don’t want them and then you start having sex with somebody and they wanna relationship it blows up but if you’re having sex with somebody and you’re in an affair and that person is not leaving their spouse that could go on for years. If somebody doesn’t want a relationship, (and limited to sex only…not dates or public meetings) that’s actually pretty good set up.
