I think posters, and people in general, resent that the athletes are given scholarships and put on a pedestal. Don't act perplexed. [/quote] Athletes are NOT given athletic scholarships at any Ivy or most top schools. And athletes for centuries have been put on pedestals going back to Ancient Greece. And not totally unfounded, IMO. Excelling at a sport is a culmination of talent and very hard work for years. [/quote]
